While Thunder Train has a boarding sequence with thunder and plenty of train sounds that can be visualized, The Train Ride has been distilled down to the essence of riding a train on a clear day. Two versions are available. The first has a startup sequence with the train leaving the station. Occasional distant railroad crossing signals that are heard near the beginning but soon the clickety-clack of the locomotive swaying on the railroad tracks induces an almost hypnotic effect. The second version, simply entitled Train Tracks, is the basic sound of rolling down the tracks with no background audio added. Both long recordings slowly fade in and out.
