Even
More Sleep Thoughts:
I have come to realize
that search engine hits alone are not going to make our website business
flourish. I will have to come up with some kind of advertising /
marketing plan or wait it out for word of mouth to spread.
You might have noticed
the term sleep-aid showing up on some of the pages. This is strictly a
search engine 'thing' as it is a popular search term. The term sleep-aid
is all encompassing as it can also mean sleeping pills and such... but
will give it a try.
When I first started the
site some 10 months ago I never realized I would be putting so much time
into the marketing. Marketing is not one of my favorite things to
do but such is life.
We have back peddled a bit
on selling and shipping pre-recorded CD's as I discovered what I already
knew viscerally. There is simply not a big demand for that.
I have had a bad case of
blogger's block lately. You will know when I have this condition
when you see a 'Sleep Thought' that refers to random thoughts like,
well, this one.
To date not one sleep lab
has taken us up on the offer to provide, free of charge, virtual
dreams to be used for relaxation and sleep onset study. I am the worst insomniac I have ever heard of and it
works for me. Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say.
The above thought has
given me an idea for a new 'sleep thought' ... details on my own
insomnia struggles. I will make a note.
I have been told by a few
people that they thought our prices were too low as we have no real
competition but there are no plans in the immediate future of raising
them.
You may have noticed that
I have changed the way the products are presented en mass on the
various pages. This format will lend itself to a searchable database in
the future as we grow from about 35 sleep / relaxation / meditation
virtual dreams now to hundreds over the next few years.
I have a bicycle rigged up
with my digital recorder to capture the sound of riding a bike in the
rain. Well, it's raining so off I go.
Adios!
