tinnitusWe have offered free Tinnitus masking MP3 downloads since the beginning of our site. I have been using Pink Noise for years as I have Tinnitus in both ears. It aids sleep onset by masking the irritating ringing noise. Why Pink Noise and not White Noise? Pink Noise sounds like a waterfall and White Noise sounds like a downpour. Pink Noise has more bass and is closer to natural sounds. I find it more soothing to my ears.

In the free download below subtle virtual dreaming techniques are used to enhance the feeling of walking toward a large waterfall on a rainy day. We call it simply, Niagara. We recorded this 30 minute audio at only 96 kbps (kilobytes per second) to reduce the size, but be aware it is still 21 Megabytes. A longer, higher quality and more extensive version of this soundscape can be found here. To save the audio file below right click your mouse and select 'save as'. To create an audio CD in Windows Media Player open the file and select 'Burn' and then 'Burn now playing' .

Free 30 minute Virtual Shower

Here is a free 30 minute shower sound... some people find it an effective sleep-aid as it eases their tinnitus while others just like the soothing sound. We added plenty of White Noise along with a few audio effects to simulate the environment and aid in sleep onset. This one was squeezed down to 28 megabyte.

Free 30 minute Oscillating Virtual Fan

We were asked by a patron if we could create the relaxing ambiance of a fan moving back and forth. Our virtual fan subtly pans left and right and produces that calming sound that we all know.
